Purchasing is taking over the day to day operations. Inspiration from auto industry or GE methods. Either way, the rationale of trying to change to a mass production model does not seem to be advisable.

FMCTI WAS a strong company. Unfortunately the current leadership does not have a clue as to how the company was created, what gave it strength, what the products and services produced are, nor have any direct knowledge or understanding of the drilling and completion industry as they never have gotten their hands dirty.

The leadership at both Gears (EPC) and TC Jester (Services) are totally self focused with no concern for the company, the companies reputation, the customer's, the employees or their families. Middle management is left with little or no true leadership or direction and most are not qualified for the roles they fill and have a limited understanding of the products and services FMCTI provide.

As for the corporate leadership-they have been "missing in action" since Peter Kinnear retired.

The longevity outlook for FMCTI is dismal at best.

I completely agree!! FMC was a strong company. But that is history - wrong investments, wrong people, no contract, exposure to various business ethics....Be rational rather than emotional... A successful business normally knows why, where and how they are heading in a certain direction AND not spinning stories to defend the wrong direction/decisions.

That is actually funny - you must not work there. It's a complete train wreck with zero loyalty from the masses. Without a buy-out bringing in competent leadership, FMC will not survive. The customers are just as disgusted with the declining quality and opaque silo mentality the leadership has created.
