Has anyone found a new job through IBM's internal process? I have run into the "Blue Wall" twice and am at the point of giving up on the internal process. No comments about finding a job outside of IBM, You do not know my situation and I just was to suck another few months of salary out of IBM while I fully prep myself for my next job.

perfectly articulated @1ali
You - and I - have a big, red "RA" stamped on our foreheads. We're damaged goods. Forget looking internally. Our feckless managers will not risk advocating on our behalf, even if s/he, as mine has, volunteered to "help". It's all disingenuous tripe, intended to make our manager's feel less guilty because they are the very ones who betrayed us by putting our names on the RA list.
Spend all your efforts seeking a new external role.
I truly think this just a smoke and mirrors for us, this whole talk about being able to find a new job through IBM's internal process.
While I think that there are exceptions to this rule (i.e., folks who were able to transfer) I do not think that the average Joe stands a slightest chance to transfer.
IBM has placed a hiring freeze in place until 2nd Quarter, per a source on the Watson team with whom I applied for a position.
Additionally, to move to another job you'd need approval from the VP in your current division and the VP in the target division, then it has to get approved by a hiring board.
Ginni has made it a no-win scenario for those being laid off. Unfortunately her horrible performance over the years only nets her bigger bonuses. It's as if cutting more staff merits more money. Her control of the board is something akin to Medusa.
She should be punished and financially penalized for what she has done to IBM.
Sorry to tell you, but it's not going to be possible. Read all the posts here and on the Watching IBM Facebook page and educate yourself. You'll learn a lot that can help you. Managers have come on and said that there is not only a freeze on both internally and externally, but they are being prohibited from recommending or allowing anyone to transfer. We are all essentially on the Titanic and you are asking if you can switch from being a cook to a room steward. The same fate awaits us all, it's just a matter of time. Don't waste your time. Spend it polishing up the resume. Make sure to follow Cringely's advice and file with the EEOC (see below post).
