Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Is there any legal action possible for they way this was done? Sounds like a lot if wrong doing.

Even tho at will employees, it seems the ranking that was suppose to be done needs to match up with the review process for each individual that was released. Things sound questionable to say the least.

I left Williams several years ago and at that time, they rushed to settle all potentially legitimate claims (discrimination etc.) for $50k or less. Therefore, it may be worth your while to discuss with an attorney.

Williams had become intolerable by the time I left. I know it hurts to be released, but Williams was blessed with very talented people and was determined to waste that talent away. Each of you will hit your stride. Prayers your way.

Better to fill the Bern than Make America Great Again. Since this is an online discussion board, I'm going to assume your either a right-wing, religious zealot or your an ignorant redneck.

Legal action? Really? Who you going to sue OPEC for producing too much oil and pushing commodity prices down? Whinny annoying people like you are what ruined this country. I'm sure you're crying "feel the Bern" in hopes of getting some handouts.

I think at least 99% will sign the termination package, when you do that you basically waive all your legal rights unless you want to file an complaint with the EEOC/ It is probably not worth fighting this, since Williams has many lawyers on their payroll whose purpose is to drag things out and make it impractical to recover anything. My advise is to sign the termination package and move on to something better,
