Potential buyer: NOV. Not sure who the second one is. It will go for a steep price. Imagine a world without Orbit, General or WKM. Getting mixed signals from Schlumberger. V&M to stop all parts sales to competetors the end of September. Good luck to the mom and pops out there! Schlumberger wants all of the business.
Ask your former coworkers from Hammond and Milbury what lies ahead for the rest of you....
Really!!! Who are the potential buyers. I hope they buy it and fix it before it deteriorates further.
Already have two potential buyers. Look out if you are V&M employee. One would not be a good time.
Yes
Actuation is headed by an idiot. The man has no idea how to manage.
Actuation from Cameron. A big joke.
Long lead times.
Interplant cooperation dismal
Specialty valves. They run away from it. Wonder why they have the so called Engineering managers. Useless

Absolutely correct. The sales transformation plan began when things were rosy and implemented during the downturn. The top guys who planned the transformation are still there getting the big bucks and the bottom of the barrel are gone!!!
Any division that has a revolving door of managers parading through every two years, each with their own 5 year plan which barely gets implemented before they move on, could be referred to as poorly run. I can't remember how many of those stupid plans was force fed to me and my team! Only thing certain is that they got their bonuses no matter the damage they left in their wake.
Poorly run, anyone within V&M can see this. The VP of V&M knows nothing about valves. He has a team of idiots working with him to make numerous bad decisions. His illusion that distributed valves is the answer and dislike for specialty valves prove he is the wrong person for helping Cameron products. MRC and DNOW will not save Cameron, they will continue to get their cheap valves from China. The plan Mr. Doug has put in place will lose business long term, but what does he care he will be a short termer and fly out with a golden parachute.
Don't get your feelings hurt. It's on the chopping block. Fact.
Please explain how it's a poorly ran division... I'll wait
If it ain't, it should be! Pretty sure it is though. SLB has no need for V&M.
