Lets face the facts, if your manager did not want to go to bat for you, wasnt capable of going to bat or was getting hit, your odds where so so

Decisions were mostly made for supervisors. No discussion.

My boss told me he wanted to have a project catch up meetings, and once he got here he lowered the boom . Lying POS, probably best I was let go . Could not work for a lying piece of crap like that for long any way . Rumors has it he is next to go hope that is true

Yeah , that is just way it works, unless you are really an truly great employee. I was shocked to learn of some great talent that was let go, these people were not lazy or dead wood, like some of the surrivors would like to spin it. Lots of of mistakes being made, these talents are quickly moving on to Kinder Morgan, Dominion, Enterprise and several other Midstream Companies like Equitable, Rice Energy, Cone,Marathon, Markwest, etc that are doing well and expanding. This is just going to make it harder for Wiliiams to make ground in the Northeast, they may have to pack up and head home to Mommy,

It's a shame informed decisions couldn't be made, half of the people that were let go made most of the contributions to the betterment of the company.

Yeah, that's probably true. I doubt anyone got cut whose boss was really fighting to keep them
