Any thing coming down from corporate? Have they changed payout of bonuses or when annual evals are done?
I don't know how corrupt OD/OM management is, but I can tell you that if there is a way to term people without severance or UI, Staples will do it.

Unfortunately it won't get any better if the buyout goes through. Staples sucks.
The judge has the case, and has until early May to make a ruling.
If it goes through, Roland will take his payout and exit stage left. Everyone will be stuck with Ron.
Ron will get his cut, and his yearly comp will steadily increase as sales and market share go down.
Boca HQ will be gutted and sold, and on both side DCs will be consolidated, stores will be closed and those that survive will take massive payroll hour cuts.
This poor company is in shambles. Leadership has no idea how to turn it around. The threats come daily. Compelling place to shop? Compelling place to work? Most of the good people have left, the smart ones are looking and the really smart people have read up and are avoiding like the plague. The turnover is astronomical. The customers are chased all over the store to bleed every last penny from them. It has become a used car lot like atmosphere. Very very sad watching this company die from the inside. They need to turn out the lights and lock the doors already. So that, my friend, is why no one is making any comments. We are speechless.
