I agree. The day the acquisition is complete (April Fools Day no less), SLB will drop the hammer and welcome you all with a meeting with HR and a package.
Your biggest concern if you get laid off will be your medical, dental, vision insurance. It will stop at the end of that last pay cycle. Be proactive and PLAN PLAN PLAN. Get those new glasses or contacts NOW. Get your prescriptions filled for 3 months worth. If it doesn't happen to you good but take it from one that has been there... It is ugly. AND you will not be able to afford Cobra without a job.
