What is there to worry about? This is a sound thought out strategy. Lets review ... still no Zenith President. 1.5 years in and they cant find someone to lead the show. Could it be that no one will take the job? Executive leadership ... the EVP of Ops is leaving. Does not matter, never ran a campus and never visits one. Announced a new EVP of Ops (quietly) but he is now a consultant ... nothing to worry about. The EVP of Career Services no degree (lol) does not visit campuses and clueless about any operational needs. Why is she not representing Zenith at the ACICS show cause meeting next week ... inquiring minds want to know. EVP of Admissions is a nice guy ... does not visit campuses, does not have an admissions background and clearly has no real voice with the Hawnmeister. Lasty, the Provost has all of operations reporting to her, but has no operational experience. She will be advised by the quietly announced EVP of Ops who is now only a consultant. In addition, she distates any ops focused employees, lacks humility. Conducts 10 minute interviews, promotes employees only to find out later a PIP was in the works for the employee she promoted and doubled income. So, the executive team is sound and ready to roll. No understanding of campus ops, the students, no plan and do not include campus leaders in strategy.
The campuses have been decimated. CPs removed, 6 EDs promoted w/out training or support, and DOEs promoted to campus directors without an interview. In some cases the DOE has 6 to 12 months of experience. Hawnmeister, hate to tell you this, the CPs ran the show -- DOEs were clerical at best. DOAs have had work load trippled. What is there to worry about, great days are ahead. No matter how you spin it , DOEs work load doubled and now serve as president w/out training.
Field support, there is none. They are all gone. Might as well call the ghost busters. RVPs are done end of April. Like them or not, they were they only remaining support to the campuses. The only voice of reason and connection between field and EVPs. Great transition plan as well. 30 days is what it takes. What is there to worry about?
Teach outs and consolidations, for get about it. There is no plan folks. You are on your own. Notice of severance without paper work or dates. We will worry about that later. Student experience, worry about that later. Employee transfers and consolidation plan, worry about that later.
So what you have are EVPs that have no plan, EDs that are spinning and over their heads, CDs that may not even want the job, no field resources or support, no training plans and zero level of transition. What is there to worry about?
