This is so true. Coming from a recent defunct school, my school loan has been transitioned from the following lenders: Sallie Mae, Navient, and TG. Folks, it is not easy as you think.
"The Department of Education is creating a process to make it as easy as possible for borrowers who attended schools that violated the law to seek loan forgiveness (discharge) based on borrower defense to repayment. More information on borrower defense to repayment and how to get your loan discharged will be made available on this page soon."...............................................https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/about/announcements/corinthian#fraud-violations-state-law
It seems like you have to prove it for if you think you are defrauded in order to qualify for loan forgiveness.
No, poor decisions by Dave Hawn is why the schools are failing. Graduating unqualified students is why the schools are failing. Accepting students with a third grade mentality is why the schools are failing. Operating the schools like a day care center is why the schools are failing. People like you that believe everything Dave Hawn says is why the schools are failing.
Have you seen the Four Horsemen documentary? It is quite evident that our government and the banking industry work together to keep Americans in economic slavery. Americans are stupid when it comes to money and sign here, you can have it now. The previous statement about the DOE and ECMC are correct, people will not be eligible for debt relief by snapping their little wishful fingers.
How noble of you to start thinking of the students on your way out the door. Not. Disgraceful. Poor character folks like you are why some of the schools are failing and thus being selected for teach out.
Good luck with that. Unless the school closes without teach-out, it will be tough to get the loan forgiven. DOE and ECMC ae I'm this together. The both benefit from a gradual, systematic wind-down of the schools. DOE has minimal loan forgiveness liability. ECMC has s whole bunch of debt to service. The students, meanwhile, remain fully responsible for their loans. The agreement they signed prevents a class action lawsuit.
They are Zenith students, stupid!
