Because people have been asking for clarification that may not have access to the information, I was clarify the new store structure for 2016:
New Tiers classifications:
Top: >6 Million / Year (148 Stores)
Standard: 2.75 Million - 6 Million / Year (1006 Stores)
Bottom: <2.75 Million / Year (149 Stores)
Retail Roles by Store Tier:
Top: General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Manager, Team Supervisor
Standard: General Manager, Sales Manger, Operations Supervisor
Bottom: General Manager, Operations Manager
In addition to the above, Inventory Specialist, Tech Sales Supervisor, and Copy & Print Supervisor will still be found at all levels. It is implied that the Inventory Specialist and Tech Sales Supervisor may play a bigger role in the MOD process in Bottom Tier Stores then they have had to previously.
Top tier stores (formally making up both tier 1 and 2) will fundamentally be staying the same with manager roles. Stores formally consisting of tier 1, however, WILL be getting the same amount of payroll that tier 2 stores have always been getting, therefore getting less payroll overall.
Standard tier stores will comprise of the former tier 3 stores. It will also include higher performing tier 4 stores. While former tier 3 stores will be essentially staying the same, the biggest change in this group will be that the former tier 4 stores will be getting additional payroll and, most notably, an additional supervisor.
Bottom tier stores will be very similar to how a tier 4 store is now. The notable difference will be that the Assistant Manger will become an Operations Manager. In this layout, the General Manager will have direct jurisdiction in Copy & Print, as well as Easy Tech.
