Thread regarding Zenefits layoffs

Just lay me off

Let me start by saying I loved my manager and my team was awesome! Every single team member rocked! But… When I signed up, they promised me a ton of things – if I sell well, there will be a great comp, work-life balance, milk and honey. Unlimited paid time off!

But, then reality hit. That unlimited time off did not apply to Nov to Feb timeframe, so forget the holidays. The leadership is so crazy and there is no decent communication happening within the company. How can you expect folks to cope with the constant change if you do not let them know what’s changing and what the impact will be – how can we adjust to that. So, now combine crazy hours, nuts management and even worse communication – it’s easy to get confused, to get overworked and simply burn out.

Many things should change but let’s start with the SDR day and meetings should become more efficient so that we do not have to spend hours and hours cleaning things up on the account. Sales Ops should improve data overall, that’s a must. On the management side, just use common sense and try to inspire people by leading by example – managers should work not only yell, they should set the example.

Do not play with my comp – we had an agreement and stop changing it all the time – you gave me my offer letter and promised a base with a variable compensation component – now, they keep changing this, they changed it two times since the first time they showed to me.

Don’t know what to tell you – they may lay me off but I am so over it it’s not funny – I will be leaving ASAP – they care about money and only money and that’s fine but they are pushing it a bit too much to the point where it’s stupid and it’s damaging core operations – this will lead to a corrupt culture (already there) and ultimately no company so corrupt inside can be successful – mark my words, this company will not survive next 72 months.

This post is hilarious - the company is on its knees, a poster child for 'how not to do a startup'

@G8BfdxJ - If you are so mad, why don't you just quit - right?
