At least 80 people were laid off this week at DeVry. The company is hemmoraging from the incompetence starting at the top. The Hamburgler has Napoleonic complex and has destroyed this company from within since he stepped onto the campuses. Making $5mil per year paid off for him though. Too bad he can't buy another 2 inches in height- maybe his feelings of inferiority wouldn't have run this once great company into the ground. The captain of the Academic ship looks like Marla Hooch and had the 'genius' idea of making everything 8 weeks- imagine taking Calculus in 8 weeks. No wonder the attrition rate is one of the worst in the nation. The campuses are now run by 'yes' people who are the final product of the incompetence at the top.

This place is despicable with how they handle things. Give you no real career path, stingy with raises, if given one at all. They like to blindside you and keep people that definitely shouldn't still be there. Management doesn't seem to get it, they're the problem not us!

That is what is happening right now at Devry. With each layoff, the quality of instruction and service comes ever-closer to non-existent.
What is left at the locations is nothing but a night crew keeping the lights on for posterity's sake. They will soon be flushed like the circling turd- just a matter of weeks or months.
