About 350 people will be laid off, we have about 7000 people, so that's 5% of the total workforce. All of this is happening while we are making so much money that it's crazy. it might be time to think again about the multiple jets, 2 helicopters, limousines, private garage parking and concierge service for all executives...

Cuts continue and are corporate wide. But the biggest changes are coming from the brain-drain. During the layoffs, many of the smartest were let go while the cheapest remained. After that, those that remained and were any good found the situation untenable and left. Now the company is full of the weakest upper level executives and those they were friends with. The company is now a shell with the best having found refuge elsewhere.
The layoffs in Enfield are to make room for the 200 or so operations staff acquired from MetLife in Charlotte, NC

What do you expect from a firm that continues to employ Tom Finke of Babson Capital ( CEO). There was a mug shot on the internet of TOM after he was arrested for a hit and run DWI in Charlotte. Various employees sent this mug shot around in emails to each other. MM is pure waste and cover up.

I know there are people in Phoenix being laid off as well. People that were transfered out there, packed up their whole lives and family and then we're laid off mere months later. Obviously I don't have all the details but unless it was performance based that's pretty crappy.
