Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

So my boss says we're getting a bonus?

She fails to tells when or how much? Are we to just sit and wait and hope it appears in our paycheck? STT seems to take pleasure in having employees live on then brink of poverty. It's so odd it goes against other companies where they try to pay you an above living wage. Even Walmart will be paying more to cashiers than college grads that work at STT! It's amazing that the government says $25 is a living wage and most employees at STT scarcely make $20/hr. How do these upper levels look themselves in the mirror?

Right , I forgot we should be happy we have a job. That worked in 2008-2011 but it's 2016, once a again STT a day late a lot of dollars short.

$75 covers one month of insurance premium increase. Dismal, really dismal and abysmal. Maybe a layoff would be a good thing find a job where you're needed, valued, and compensated commensurate to your skills, talent, and education.

I agree that bonuses are given out based on how much the boss likes you. Although this year the amounts are likely to be $75 versus $120 rather than $750 versus $1200.

Bonuses are based on your pay grade and how well the Boss likes you.

The bonus is usually given to you personally with a separate check.

One coworker for example may only get $750.00 while a suck up to the Boss could get $1,200

They always ask everyone to be quiet about raises and bonuses. Something has to break this corporate greed. I know companies aren't here for us and I get the global economy but this is ridiculous! We need help here we need some safety net, a lives me wage and real raises, none of this 1% it's criminal!
