In September 2014 ECMC applied for a Registered Trademark for the newly formed Zenith Education Group but were denied. In 2015 they again applied for the trademark but failed to correspond with the commission in December of 2015. Finally on February 17, 2016 Zenith Education Group abandoned the request for a Registered Trademark. Kinda strange they would abandon the Zenith Education Group trademark. We always wondered why they didn't use .edu and went with .org for the website and email. Don't believe me, Google zenith education group trademark and see for yourself. Probably why they didn't change the names of the schools.

Same reason CCi stopped going after real accreditation- can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Zenith is doomed.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but your job will be over soon. If you haven't noticed, the schools are pretty empty and there's no one breaking the doors down trying to get in. When more students leave than come in it's just a matter of time. Of course everyone knows that was the plan from the beginning.
Good for us! Thanks! Jobs for life!!!
Zenith can get away with lying because they don't have shareholders and the DOE arranged the entire fraud. Zenith will never be investigated by their partner in crime.
Yep I get that. That is why DOE is up their butt about their "seriousness". Nothing like lying to stock holders about numbers
They're more serious than Zenith. Zenith Education Group is nothing more than a customer recruiting system for ECMC.
How about itt-tech.edu. Are they serious about education?
Check out Notre Dame at nd.edu or Penn State at psu.edu. Most of the community colleges use edu. The only colleges that use .org are the ones not serious about education.
Someone is about as bright as a closed closet. "Edu" is not only used by "for profit".....major, non profit, universities use it. Thanks captain dumbass!!
that is correct about .edu Only for profit schools use that.
@1quk, I agree.
The cost involved in changing the names on all the schools would have been tremendous and would not have helped in the rebuilding process. A name change may or may not happen once Zenith is finished downsizing the remaining schools. It would be a ridiculous waste of money changing the names of schools that are not going to be part of the final group of schools. At the end of this year we should be down to the final group of 30 schools.
I believe the Education Group usage was denied not the whole trademark. As for the .org it is normally used for non-profit companies. Don't worry zenth.edu and zenitheducation.edu are secured. I wouldn't read into it and my guess is someone dropped the ball.
