Didn't ask for a WFR, didn't ask for anything. Just grabbed a different job, and bailed from the sinking ship after 24 years. It feels good not having a sword hanging over my head. HP works hard to make you feel that you are being compensated well, and are lucky to have a job, even though you are paid below industry standard, and the mood in the place is dark.
It's good out here. My life got better after I just walked away.
All of the WFRs I have seen have occurred on a Monday, time of the month does not seem to matter. So if you get through a Monday intact, you are good to go at HP for at least another week.
and yes, I never got an exit interview either. Pretty much got told goodbye and that was it. No going away party. No meeting. Not even a reference letter was given. So sad!
We're all about the same age here. Less than 30 years old and I left after being there for 4 miserable years. First job I had since leaving college and it was just horrible. Over-paid, out of touch managers leading the same processes using basic tools instead of using innovation. No wonder the company is tanking hard when you got idiots running it. Been 10 months since I said goodbye to that hell hole and I do not regret it at all.
I've been here less than 12 mos and will have to repay relocation if I bail. I want to be laid off. I'm in my late 20s and hate it here. Do I drop the hjnt with my manager? He's located in another state and I never see him.
Storage jobs will be outsourced gradually before a big layoff. You should start looking for job at once!
Trust me!! HPE severance pay is very lousy. My best decision was " To leave HPE before being chopped by my stupid manager".
Just jumped ship last week, albeit after only 1.5 years (I'm mid-20s). What a terrible place to work at for anyone < 30, or anyone for that matter.
I jumped ship almost 2 years ago too. One of the best decisions I made. Sad to see HP go down like this though.
i left 2 years ago and i dont have any regrets. poor and self serving leadership was the main reason. i hope those leaders sink with the ship.
+1, the same here - I left on my own, I did not even have a proper exit interview, filled out a form and they were like bye - after 11 years, that was it, someone on a phone somewhere said bye... Sad.
