There are email addresses listed on Tinker's website to submit your resume if you want to work at Tinker. The way they do things is slow. Basically, they put your resume in a pool. Anytime they have a position open and you qualify, they send your resume to the management. I submitted my resume while I still have a job, but probably won't hear back from them. A friend recommended me for a job and gave management my resume but I highly doubt my resume will be processed in time through the career center.

It's a lot easier to get a government job if you have served in the military. I think for kids about to graduate from highschool going into the military may be a wiser move then going straight to college. Its a way to serve your country and it teaches you a lot of discipline.

Government job is a waste of time anyway. People stay in these jobs for 30+ years just to collect benefits and use sick/vacation time. Then they figure out a way to collect on some kind of BS disability so they can collect a check w/out going to work.

Unless you know someone, are an ex federal employee, or a veteran I would not get your hopes up for a federal job here in okc. If there are no other jobs for you to apply for have a shot but I applied for probably 15 jobs that I was well qualified for in the okc area and in almost every case I received an NOR with the following "AT THIS TIME, YOUR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION HAVE NOT BEEN REVIEWED. DUE TO THE ABUNDANCE OF BEST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WITH VETERANS PREFERENCE AND/OR PRIORITY PLACEMENT FOR THIS POSITION, THESE CANDIDATES MUST BE CONSIDERED AND CERTIFIED FIRST." In other cases I never heard anything. It can be extremely frustrating given that it can take 2-3 hours to tailor your resume and go through all the questionnaires for each position.
