I think he was more or less looking for a confession that there is corporate directed plan to drive out older, higher paid GMs. Such a confession could fuel the fire to get more people to look into wrongful termination / discrimination suits.

I think the more of the field management that gets let go, the bigger possibility of someone actually admitting it. Right now, these guys are getting about 16-20 weeks severance and likely more cash to keep them quiet. As more get laid off or the hush money runs out, someone may come forward.

So to clarify, the retail DMs were let go and now GMs report directly to the RVP, or were several DMs let go in a region so DMs will have more stores to manage?

The trashed DM's have about 16 to 18 weeks before they reach the end of their severance agreements. If they are really scared about being caught on this site they may wait the 4 months. I can tell you from personal experience they watch and would love to know (Hi Carl you jerkoff) but nothing they gain can really help them figure out who you really are and it's pretty safe overall. I was watching from afar even before I ever left the company. I had just moved on in my head because I already knew what they were doing long long ago. This shit storm started way back around 2008 maybe even earlier. Ron lost interest, Demos was a dork, shit rolled downhill. It's kind of like someone hiring a contract killer, the job is done , then the person kills the assassin to hide the connection back to them. I just wish they got more of them. 1 or 2 per region was not enough, but I expect more after the buyout fails.

Even though this board is anonymous they probably signed NDAs in order to receive their severance, thus will not talk about it. It is ironically satisfying though. And now they are waiting for the other show to fall, they layoffs of DMs and hopefully RVPs will continue as long as they continue to close stores.

If the buyout should go through (if the bribes work) it can be a tricky situation. There will be more stores (at least temporarily) but will there be competition for the DM and RVP positions or will they just flat out let any OD field management go off the bat?

OD stores are pretty much in the same boat - OD can't close them fast enough. So if the buyout goes through there will be a temporary increase in total stores, then rapid closures. Like a releasing a stretched rubber band.

Yes now that the company let the DMs go. Can they finally admit they targeted managers, lied about performance and harassed them until they were fired or quit from stress? Admit that you wrote all of us up in an attempt to avoid giving us our unemployment insurance that we needed to take care of our families. That you got rid of us even though we were loyal and worked hard for years taking away our security and the security of our families. Leaving us with no health insurance. No way to pay our mortgages. Do you have a conscious? The company did the same thing to you. They did not reward you they got rid of the evidence. Step up now and tell the truth. Are you able to sleep at night? free yourself. confess and make things right.

Nobody will ever admit this - Age Discrimination is rampant in corporate America but admitting it would imply responsibility even if this Anonymous you can be tracked down if there is anything illegal happening #agediscrimination
