Transition plan is a trick to save money? Most of the people on transition will be leaving earlier than the end date when they find a suitable job and end up loosing both bonus as well as severance.

Transition job is like a contractor. The only difference is that you are Not paid lie a contractor at double/triple than a regular full-time employee.

Many on transition will end up finding a job on their own (thinking that suitable position may not be available at the end of transition) and leave ; may not stay till the end of transition time. Then they won't get both bonus and severance - that way company will save.

Btw, Severance and bonus is just a trick because.

They will lay-off 2 months early and use that to give you Severance and bonus

If the company cuts it short I believe people still get the severance and a bonus. So how is this a trick? They have to commit to staying until the company needs them. But of course if they turn it down then they are on their own
