Thread regarding VMware Inc. layoffs

JAN 2016 LAYOFFS - If you've been here long enough you knew this was coming - and IT WILL GET WORSE

Our debilitating passive aggressive corporate culture cannot continue to exist any longer, especially once Dell starts to control all things around here...

We agree to do certain things in meetings, but people never execute accordingly. SUPER WEAK LEADERSHIP based on SENIORITY and not merit or ability to lead. All they do is say yes, someone from Dell shows up, let's move this, let's kill that, all what they know to do is to say yes.

I am out, I've had it enough here in last 7 years...

In my view EMC has an aggressive decision making culture, I would not call it a consensus based one - that's just my 2c though

EMC is also a consensus based company, in meetings everyone has to agree and nobody does anything - consultants do all work on the IT side, engineering is a bit better but still very inert
