I have made the same observation, however I suspect that statistic will be blended with what is getting ready to happen. What Devon will claim is that in the total number of terminations over the past year, the age distribution will not show any age group being unfairly targeted. However the first wave of layoffs, at least among the petro-professionals, contained a disproportionately high number of people over 55, and the second wave getting ready to happen would not be happening if the price of oil had not dropped another $10/bbl.

Actually, they should look at the last few years...
That's been going on for considerably longer than a year.
You can anonymously report it yourself for free if you really think there is discrimination. Other wise you must not believe it is true.
EEOC should check into how many old white guys have been let go in the last year.
