Our approach is brutal. Announcing that there will be layoffs with no real timeframe etc. wow we will all be very productive while we wait for the grim reaper to walk down the hall. A good friend in HR confirmed that the numbers will be even higher than was originally forecasted. Hope the severance eases the pain but it won't be anywhere near as generous as what CHK paid. Karma once again. Ouch.

That $1.9 B purchase of Felix doesn't look so brilliant now (if it ever did).
I feel sorry for you guys and everyone else who has and will be laid off! I still work for chk and plan on riding it out as long as I can! I have 3 little kids to worry about! But I can tell you it's very stressful and nérve racking not knowing! Then watching so many great people and great workers get escorted out! Truly heartbreaking! I feel so bad for what you guys are fixing to go through! I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers! Good honest hard working people shouldn't lose their job!
I'd suggest taking the severance $$ to Riverwind or load up on Powerball tickets.
