Will the 25% number be applied to the field employees as well?
I'm not a Devon employee, but my team services Devon locations. I hate this for all involved. My relationships are primarily limited to Field Employees and local production management. I'm hoping the people closest to the wells will be okay.
I heard about this site and had to check it out. This site has the potential to be a useful resource for people; however, it looks more like a forum where people with low self esteem are hiding behind "anonymous" and gossiping worst than a bunch of little old ladies.
It must be sad to have the life of the guy that started this post. This is likely the most entertainment he actually has. He is probably so messed up in the head that he is wearing his mothers clothes and checks the responses to his post hourly. HeyLoser... Post some more gossip and lets get to know how sad your life really is.

HR handles all the firings. Then - once staff is reduced - they let the excess HR go. Basis MBA 101. It's all about the number at the bottom line.
They should start by laying HR off, the most incompetent team at Devon

Is that tower and field employees, or just tower? Scary, SAD for those who actually appreciated their jobs and truly tried to make things better. Although I may very likely get laid off, I do feel so bad for those in HR that will have to tell everyone that they are getting "let go". So many OK families are going to be effected tremendously when all is said and done.
