People are already starting to disappear. Six people from my floor where just called to HR. I have been told to expect The number to be around 1400 people. This is for all of Devon including the divestiture.

They had layoffs all last year. They started with HR, then IT, then Geo-they just call it restructuring or job elimination.

1,400?? That seems like a stretch....that's nearly half the workforce. Talk about fear-mongering.
It has started. Devon does not have to make it public if they keep it under a certain number. They started with the IT department months ago.

It will be completed by end of the quarter. It HAS started today.
Devon has started laying people off already. They just don't have to make it public if they keep it under a certain number. They started with the Information Technology department. I would know because I was one of the ones that got laid off.
