Ironically, Devon Energy just hired a new Exec VP (from outside the company) in the last week. In addition, several VP's were promoted to Exec VP's. Bad timing or bad decisions?

Ok, not only are there losers starting posts that are talking useless smack, there are also ClosetFreaks stalking this site. Yes you know who I am talking about... The guy who is bad mouthing the executives at Devon and talking about dicks. Hey ClosetFreak, get your sick ass site on a porn site. The guy that started this thread seemed to have a reasonable question he wanted feedback on. He wanted feedback from a professional; not a ClosetFreak you stupid idiot, you just ruined this guys discussion.
What I can't believe is you actually got a job at Devon, with what seems like grade 4 writing. Come on when to use "is" vs when to use "are" is grade four material. You must be so depressed, not because of Devon, but because you made nothing of your life. Come on post more crap... I am just starting to profile.

Who is the EVP? Which other people were promoted?
The leadership hid their heads in the sand for a while - now, numbers do not lie, and they are forced to do something
Bad timing and bad decision, or so appears to me who has many years experience in O&G. I do not work for Devon but I have seen similar occurrences in other associated business.
John Raines on the exec management level horrible idea, but so is the rest of our top dogs. Look at Andy Coolidge and Greg Jacobs both slap dick suck ups
Unfortunate timing for that announcement today about the promotions and external hire.
I think it is just one more thing to add to the poor decision making trend that seems to be the new normal.
