No Layoffs for Chemists but... Our Chemists are judged too heavily on 'metrics' - for example, number of rxns run, rxn success %, and so on... Overall, that create some stress and I am not sure if this is the best way to evaluate Chemists. Also, btw, our pay isn't great - I would say that we are underpaid at least 20%... Also if you are a contractor you will never be as respected as a Lily resource

I heard there were going to be over 60 layoffs in Med Chem and Chem Dev
I heard lay-offs today. 40 maybe more?
There have been around 40+ lay-offs in January 2016.
