Happened pretty quick last year. Just wondering if anyone has heard rumor of anything about to come.

I was one of the employees laid of last year. I am so sorry for those who were recently let go that you are going through this nightmare! It was inevitable that another layoff would happen, but, unfortunately, you have all had to ride out the storm there while those of us laid off last year with WARN pay have moved on with our lives. I can tell you that working at Chaparral brought so much anxiety into my life, and I feel blessed that they let me go when they did. My boss was an absolute nut job! I wish all Chaparral employees and those laid off much luck and peace in finding your next path. And for those of you who still work there...find another job, fast!

We are merging with another oil company, not sure who, but its heavily rumored we do.
Actually last year it was the day after the VP's.
Last year it happened a week after the VPs....
Within the week...you know the script...take out the top people first so the next wave thinks things are being handled fairly in order to try to keep up moral. I'll bet the next wave does not get the golden parachute the other people in the top echelon receives. What hypocrites...and a disaster.
