If you post to this sight while at work you will get caught and escorted out. Posting negative smack hurts the company and everyone you work with. If you work for Devon and post to this sight you will get caught. The IP addresses are logged and can be traced and don't think for a minute you can't be found by other methods. The best thing to do is stop. You are only hurting people by posting things that are wild guesses. We all know what the market is doing. For those of you from Devon reading this and other post; stop coming to this sight. None of this is true. You should have other work to be doing.

I'm a senior IT employee. I know for a fact that we don't have the time, resources or ability to track down posters on this site. It's impossible without involving the the legal system. Even then, this country is still founded on free speech so post away without fear. Now if you post while on our DVN network you will be traced. If you are dumb enough to do that you deserve to be fired.
Leadership is also familiar with "at will" employment.

If you posted the beginning of this thread and work at Devon you will likewise be tracked down and escorted from the building.
I doubt this site will risk it's reputation 'handing over' data that is suppose to be anonymous to an oil company that cannot afford to pay for it anyway. If your on the Devon Network our using a Devon Phone you might not want to sniff anywhere near this site. As a past employee I can say Devon runs a 'overly paranoid' shop. And was extra sensitive about employees, hiding its reputation (layoffs called reorgs), etc. But that comes at a cost. It's expensive, and the paranoia gets ingrained in your employees. I would hope they could clean this 'cancer' out of the company and be the company I know back in the early 2000's. It felt like a family business back then that cared. Now they act like everyone is their enemy.
Maybe you self-important jerkwaters should spend more time NOT running the damned company into the ground and less time stalking websites, we wouldn't be in this predicament.
Yeah the website host logs IP data, but unless Devon runs the site, you goofs are going to need a subpoena to get that data. You have no power here, and you know it. Why dont you go back to planning more downsizing so you can protect your bonus. That's all you amoral limp dicks are good for anyway.
Hmm, in such dire times I find it amusing that someone would be willing to sacrifice both the time and money involved to track down a user of such a harmless site, or as you so eloquently put it, "sight". Perhaps instead of firing off false threats, you should renew your subscription to Hooked on Phonics and settle down a bit.
Oh, and don't worry about tracking me down. I don't work at Devon. Believe it or not, there are other stakeholders who may be impacted by Devon's performance, or lack thereof in 2016.
