Parker is still cutting positions, probably the beginning of the end. Sorry to see that and thankful that I left.

What ever happened to people having, morals, ethics or simple good well for one another? Yes, I'm talking about management. Each morning at breakfast I see an ethic hotline poster that instructs you to call if you feel or experience anyone lacking good ethics. If you call and point out the issues with ethics in our company stems from the top down, then you’re next on the list for June 30th. To add insult to injury, employees are forced to watch videos on ethics which means nothing management. Next, lets’ establish a false sense of security from everyone, by having a group/individual meetings to discuss their new role at the company, and how we can make you feel at ease…….Wait, what? New role!?!? Sorry, what I meant to say was don’t worry, be happy, no one is getting laid off in June………………………………………………. We come in peace! Shoot to kill, shoot to kill.

Can't comment on irvine, but if you are looking for anything in IT at corporate I highly suggest you look elsewhere. The plan is to out source IT and stand up a Datacenter at IBM possibly. In the meantime we are suppose to pretend that the sky isn't falling. It reminds me of the movie Titanic as the ship was sinking the musicians kept playing as the ship went down to give a false sense of security. That's what our VP's are doing to us.

What about the Irvine office? Is it safe and stable? I'm thinking about applying at Irvine, but reading these posts make me worry a bit.

Restructuring has gone beyond the need and even too far in some cases as its caused long term damage too some productivity as seen from us that are still left. With more layoffs coming the Parker allure of a company that cared about its employees and everyone felt they were working towards a common goal is gone. Management has attempted to put the problem on employees when in fact we have too many managers to start let alone those that are under performing in their roles making our jobs even harder.

When the management is telling people "work your 8 hours and get out" then obviously they do not realize how strained they have made things or their jobs are not as busy as ours. Saying they want to keep the best and brightest falls on deaf ears when you just cut talented people. Smoke and mirror show going on

I agree its time to remove the incompetent VP's who have no business understanding let alone technology sense of what direction the company needs in terms of employees. Working at corporate now where moral is the lowest its been for the 8 years I have been there is truly terrible. Most people are looking for new jobs as there is little faith anybody is safe anymore after the recent round of layoffs. Hard work is no longer valued as everyone is a line item on a spread sheet a moment away from getting crossed out. Many more layoffs to come.

The time has come to reduce executive pay, the number of executives, and remove the incompetent who lack the understanding of modern business and technology. Empowerment is preached but not practiced at the VP level. Please wake up, board of directors, and force the actions we would never vote upon ourselves.

Yes the layoffs are continuing at corporate. The scary thing is that some of the choices have nothing to do with work reputation or experience. Only if a position could be eliminated at the moment and the department some how go on. Some that were let go, were completely jaw dropping choices, that are really going to hurt the company, and left many of us shaking our heads. The decision makers are not looking to shift resources around to retain top talent, which makes no sense. Many of us wonder if they really know who's top talent under them, or most are just numbers. Over 100 people at Corp will be let go when it's all said and done.
