I just took a look at the Wind River Systems forum here. That place sounds like it's a mess. People are openly attacking Intel and each other. Glad I don't work there.

I've posted on the WRS board, too. Took a long walk near the water to think about it before I did it. The harassment I experience by Susan's old jerk of a husband was a lot to deal with. I've talked to others that have had to deal with "the VP for Marketing from Sharp." We're sick of it, especially after hearing about his fake heat sink company and his new venture, "JTB Enterprises." He's a nasty, sociopathic POS douche.
I'm in Alameda, too. I'll agree on a few points. Morale is as llow as I've ever seen it. There are more than just a couple of posters from WRS on this site. There's a heck of a lot of frustration and uneasiness about the company's future.
I was just told about this thread and a few of these posts. We're not crazy. We're just tired of the BS and favoritism at Wind River. And, yes, more than a few of us dispersed throughout the campus have posted on the layoff.com.
We've just seen too much garbage pulled by management and older employees. Morale is low, and it's been like this for some time.
I'm one of the women that was harassed by one of my coworker's old husband. The events detailed on the other board are true. I can't complain to management because it wasn't a coworker or done at the office, and if I complain to my coworker, I think I'd make a bad situation for her worse.
There are more of us here than you realize.
I've been at WRS for some years, too. Personally, I don't think the posters on the WRS board are crazy...just frustrated. I can understand that. I can also understand the people they are frustrated with and why that resentment exists. I personally wouldn't put it out there, though....and yes, most, if not all of the items there are pretty accurate. I do think we are seeing the end of that company. Whether it happens this week, or by mid-year, I do think the axe comes down hard.
FWIW, I know a few of the people that have posted on that board. They aren't confined to Bldg 500...lot more widespread than people think.
Worked at WR for years and there are only a few crazy people that appear to dominate that board. I don't know who they are but I know which building in Alameda they work in.
Most WR (engineers at least) are hard-working and really bright, but morale is about as low as it can get and the only consistent action by management is twice-annual layoffs. We are expecting to be let go either next week or in the middle of 2016 before we WR is finally absorbed into Intel.
I work at Wind River and the joke is BK is breaking Wind. That bastard should be fired! He's single handedly destroying Intel. Like Obama is destroying America!
Actually I agree with the OP. Wind River Systems sounds like a mess. We have issues here, but if we absorb them into our orgs, I definitely don't want those assholes near me I a daily basis.
You've obviously never seen a mess, OP. I took a look and didn't see much out there. A lot was 2 month old originated posts. Barely looks used to me.
