Maybe Devon can resize to fit in old building, donate new building, all company vehicles, and cell phones to state, state then allocates new building, vehicles and phones for low income housing which can be used for laid off employees, Devon gets a tax bonus, a reduction in liabilties (stock rises), then lay off the rest of the employees with a brain and keep the department Directors and Up who have no brain, now expenses are cut even more (stock continues to rise and things are lookin up), now the laid off employees cash out at peaked stock price and now we'll see what's so good about the remaining ones at the helm. After all doing employee Goals has always been what you can do to "Maximize Stock Holder Value", right?

This has to be the STUPIDEST post I have seen here. They are running a business and not a homeless shelter. There are a TON of businesses outside of OKC and none of them would ever fathom doing this. A job is a job not your life and nowadays not even a career in most cases. The days of working for one company for your entire life and having that company take care of you when you retire by paying a pension is over. Deal with it and move on if the axe falls on your neck. Stockholders could give a rats ass about the tower and lastly the people that lose their job, etc. A company is only worth the assets it has so if DVN is bought most of the employees would be let go and the tower shunned. RSA is delayed compensation and it is a gamble they take to keep people around. There is no money out of pocket like a straight bonus payout etc. Be glad that you got something and that you have something when they walk you out the door...
