Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

completely agree about the response, when a company goes down, it always starts from the top who makes key decisions for the company. in such a MNC basic IT infrastructure isn't even in a proper place, the interface of systems, the storage of historical datas, are all in question.

Fossil's share price went into the peak at 130 dollars during 2013. It started 2015 at 110 dollar and ended at 37.4, which is a 66% drop of the total value. What was worse is that the stock started trading for less than one week, and share price has further dropped by 12.8% to 32.6. Soon it would have nothing left.

I can see what the company is doing by trying to issue news about Misfit product launch and its own plan of having more than 100 wearable products. However seems like these press release didn't save them from the price drop. Ironically the top management was purely trying to fix their issue from marketing / PR point of view, but never look inside and see what the problem is and fix from there.

It is an rotton apple.

Fossil jettisoned their values and it took their "value" with it. The fact that Robben made the cuts he did just saved a lot of us from having to watch the company die from inside. I feel for the people I know who are still there. A fish rots from the head down, and that place has got a pretty rotten head right now.
