Just announced, no more closures or layoffs in the foreseeable future. All campuses are meeting or exceeding enrollment numbers. Many schools will need to increase staff starting with the second quarter. Finally good news! !!

The bleeding has slowed, I'll agree, but it will continue until the patient is dead. It was the plan all along.
Same Shi& I was told a week before I got shi% canned .
3hso - Your campus is one of the few where campus leadership keeps you informed. At least, I know that you are not an employee who works at one of the Houston campuses.... and if you do... it must be the Bissonett Campus. We are clueless to the plans of this company. I still stand strong with believing our Campus leadership needs to be changed in order to see improvement. Instead of helping us get enrollment back up they prefer taking vacations and work less than 8 hours a day.
"We know how many students we need to have to keep the doors open." @FYO4s8t-3hso
FIXED: We know how many students THEY TELL US we need to have to keep the doors open.
3hso: you state we've lost a lot of people who didn't have faith in the company. A lot of people that were left go had faith in the company right up to the minute they were handed a letter telling them they were terminated because of poor student population and the company was restructuring with out them. I watched a lot of great employees left go because of declining enrollment. Some people left on their own because they lost faith in the company. I was one of those who left because I wasn't willing to pass up a good opportunity elsewhere on wishful thinking and hope.
Someone found gramps stash..
3hso what campus is that?
@ 3doz, sorry to hear that your campus leadership doesn't communicate with you, but it's not that way everywhere. At my campus, we all know what our start, retention, and placement budgets are. We know how many students we need to have to keep the doors open. We've lost a lot of people who,I guess, didn't have faith in the company, but my campus has always been transparent so they could make an informed decision.
The only thing our campus leaders tell us is things are improving. No mention of any leadership meeting or what was discussed. It doesn't look like things are improving around here to me. We still have low student population and students are still dropping. I guess we'll find out the truth when we are told to pack our things and leave.
I am sure things are looking. I am also sure pigs fly.
@1suu, your statement is sad, but true in most, but not all cases.
Campus management is not going to share anything negative about your campus or the company with the employees until it comes from corporate. It's their jobs to keep employees as positive and focused as possible. You will continue to be fed nothing but positive spin until the fate of your campus is released directly by corporate.
I left Zenith almost a year ago. I come here to see how things are going because I do care about the people that are left. I will tell you up front that most of the information on this site is BS - either good or bad news. Take everything said here with a grain of salt. A company like Zenith that is in so much flux will cause employees to line up either for the company or against it. I left because I wanted more money and found it. To those of you who feel uncomfortable at Zenith look for another job while providing for yourself and family by continuing to collect a paycheck. To those of you who are committed to the success of Zenith - rock on!! It's impossible to predict tomorrow, especially with the information you get off of this website.
@1kxq, what in the hell are you talking about! Is this the way you speak?!
Look at your incoming and add the figures, then look at your building and figure the expense along with the payroll and equipment. We call this cost of doing business, now ask if they can get a job and if they have ability. It's numbers and the meetings are about numbers. It's tax season, budgets are set and money must be spent. None of this means anything yet. It's big money not balancing your check book for Friday night. Numbers on paper decide what they do.
@1gby one, of two things...you're a current employee, and your campus leadership doesn't share anything with its employees or you're a former employee who's out of the loop. The meeting was held in Houston. Obviously, you're not a DOE/Dean, CP, or someone from corporate.
More trolls spreading false information. There was no leadership meeting with Dave Hawn. Also, why would anyone in a leadership position post anything on here?
1old:That is correct. Numbers are still down and FTF and adjuncts can expect further cuts until the bleeding stops. Maybe it can be saved, but they need to cut a lot of the Asst Dean positions and consolidate, that is where a lot of waste is. They are the group driving away the good instructors. I too hope for the best.
I think the OP is just being sarcastic. I just came from the leadership meeting, and Dave said there will be further closures and cost saving measures taken. Just to let you know, I'm one of the optimistic koolaid drinkers and I believe our company is headed in he right direction, but what the OP posted isn't true for a lot of campuses.
Things are looking better at my campus. No layoffs since last September and enrollment is slowly going up. We were also told there are no more adjustments planned for this year unless enrollment continues to increase then we may be hiring. Looks like all the naysayers were wrong again. The only people writing negative posts are people that were left go because of over staffing. I do feel sorry for all of you and hopefully you've found new employment. Maybe when things get turned around some of you will be called back. Most of the negative posts are from trolls that were never employees and just enjoy writing nasty things.
In a related story, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy were recently spotted having lunch at Dave Hawn's house.
We Won......We won.......We won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Uhhh huh. And I have swampland to sell you
We had an all in meeting today and were told the same thing. Projection numbers are increasing and getting better.
Yeah, so why are full time employees still getting their hours reduced to part time in February?
Name one credible source of your "good news". That would help. This news has been stated too many time to be proven false.
Maybe you need the experience of being told "This is one of the main locations. We would never be selected to be closed down," and then a few days later the teach-out is announced.
You mean we can take a vacation and there will be someone to cover us with knowledge rather than a strong talker and no skill.
