Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Artesia needs new leadership

With all the layoffs many of us hope that they remove the current corrupt leadership in Artesia along with their friends. I've been here 2 1/2 years and continue to see the "chosen" ones get by with things that anyone else would be fired for. No point in telling HR because then they just let management know who filed a complaint and then the manager is able to hit you on your reviews. Maybe if they get rid of certain ones, then this company will be a "Great place to work" again. Fingers crossed the "right ones" get to stay.

OP is correct. but field leadership is bad everywhere only its ten times worse there. the time to fix it is now. lets see what they do about it. leaders need a fundamental change is philosophy. hiring and promoting pals and hunting buddies needs to stop. but i'm not speaking out either...

I agree with this post. I have seen information that confirms what OP is saying. (No, I'm not going to report it because I am trying to keep my job). But it seriously needs to be investigated. Devon is getting the shaft and paying more than other companies for the exact same service/product.
