I was with Boeing for 18 years. They have the worst leadership I have seen. If managers would manage the working people and stop all the meetings they might get 8 hrs. work out of the people. You would see your manager in morning and that it. So breaks and lunch were very long if not all day. Like everyone would say big money for little work at the lazy-b. Talk to your manager and he would say, I can hardly wait to retirement and get out of here. Now we know how they care about the company. TAKE ALL I CAN AND THE HELL WITH THE FUTURE, GOOD MANAGEMENT. Don't feel sorry for the management at all.

This is the typical employment wave... Hurry and Hire! Now fire! Then work OT! Not new to anyone in the business. Good thing is only the new hires get canned due to low seniority. Welcome to the union business folks. there are great managers and great employees, and a bad egg in both can spoil a team... Just remember that these type of market influenced layoffs are not caused from the shop floor employees or managers, they are the people actually cranking out products!!
I can attest to that too.
Boeing has more managers than workers. The managers they do have are mainly yes men who couldn't tell an airplane from a school bus if one of them wasn't painted yellow.
I agree
