Im a "victim" of the recent Kelloggs layoff program. (Found out courtesy of a conference call.) Im not upset. Just one door closed in lieu of another (and better) one opened. I will say that my short experience working for Kelloggs as a PTM (Part Time Merchandiser) was not what i was hoping for. I should have seen the "sign" from the first month. At no time during the interview nor hiring process was i ever informed that i was working for a "temp" agency. I learned of this, to my surprise, trying to reach out to Kelloggs . I was told i was not in their system. (this almost two weeks into my employment). It took me almost a month to receive my first paycheck. I accepted the job as a "foot in the door", looking for a full time sales opportunity....which never became available (hindsight). Required to use my personal vehicle to travel to various stores, receiving no compensation for gas nor mileage. Required to use my personal phone (and data) to download an app, that tracked the stores i was to service that day. (threatened with non pay or termination if not compliant using the app) I will say i did receive a check for $25 a month for that. Very physically demanding work. Having to act as liaison between the territory sales rep who ordered the product and the store management inquiring as to why certain product was delivered but not previously authorized . Directly after the layoff news, i decided to be proactive in moving foward with another opportunity....in spite of the miniscule monthly "reward/bonus" for staying until the "transition" was completed by September 2017. Good luck to the rest of my former collegues. Please look for the nearest life boat. Yet again, another "corporate america divorce" from its loyal and faithful partner.

In my 8 years as a TM I missed my annual budget 1 time the year I was laid off I finished prior year at 104 to budget . As I was being terminated I mentioned my sales numbers not that I thought it would do any good . I was told that sales did not matter , I always thought sales mattered .I guess I was wrong sales dont matter at Kellogg !

I was one of the reps that lost their job. I was consistently a top performer. My co workers believe I was retaliated against because of my inclusion the FL lawsuit. I was very angry and hurt, but it was a blessing in disguise. The remaining KSR's are miserable.

I'm an RSR, I'm very good at my job, but I'm still getting let go. Been here 20yrs, seen a lot of changes. Can't believe this company has gone down the drain. It looks like it's just going to get worse for the RSR's who are keeping their jobs! Maybe it's a blessing to lose my job? Good luck to all!

I am a SRM that was forced to move in order to save my job. Kellogg closed down my Zone. Here are the facts: Phase 1 - layoff 400 RSRs April 2; close some zones; RSRs left will have unbearable work, pressure they say no merchandising but that is a lie with our merchandising turnover (terrible TSR go direct. Phase 3 - layoff ALL DC employees; go direct.

Try & get out now. That is my plan.

Those of us left with RSR jobs have increased territories. For me I am going from 15 to 30 stores. They claim less workload since I won't manage people anymore or merchandise any product. We all know that is a joke. We also in July will pick up Pringles which is more work added to the RSRs. It always seems to go, more work less money at Kellogg, and horrible work life balance. This of us left with a job are totally screwed.

Since the new snacks president is from Nabisco she is changing Kellogg to match their sales reps position. This means that eventually we will not have "sales reps" but just full time merchandisers writing the orders. I assume in due time the last remaining reps will become merchainsers with order machines.

The sales reps let go have nothing to do with scorecard, pdp's or making budgets. It's geographical. If you happen to be in a area theyre cutting in half to expand the route next to you, then you are gone. In our zone we had top 5 reps let go and bottom 5 reps kept and we believe it was because of area they lived in and predetermined area splits.

Not saying you're lying but where have you heard this? They're investing a lot of money and technology into the remaining reps?

And a year from now they may layoff another 500 reps. This maybe just the first phase of total elimination of sales reps.

Will be cut throat sales now. If you are lucky(unlucky) enough to stay, you better hope you never miss a budget.

It's official many good and very productive RSR sales reps are being let go April 2nd, 2016 IF they decide to take the 9 week severance package plus the payout for unused vacation time or They have the choice of staying with the company and becoming a Full-Time merchandiser paying about $15.54 per hour. The people I know being let go have been with the company between 24 to 4 years respectively. These are good people and I hate to see them go.

It is confirmed that 400 RSR's nationwide will lose their jobs by April 5th 2016. I have heard rumors Kellogg's is hiring 500 TSR's nationwide to fill this void. On a conference call with SRM this past Friday every RSR was told they would meet face to face with the SRM to find out their new role with the company. SRM said this change will affect every RSR in the zone. It sounds like how each RSR finishes out Q1 will determine if they are allowed to stay or lose their jobs. My advice: if you are an RSR hit your Q1 number to help save your job.
