So tough right now. Its unbelievable that Invalco is getting absorbed, MS is being parted out and Subsea is getting hit again in Houston. Just in time for one year anniversary of initial start of this downward spiral.

Erie plant shutdown is just a rumor.
No word of shutdowns here in Erie.
Hey MS, any one there confirm a 6-week shutdown of the plant there in Erie?
It's tough to see knowledgeable people that helped MS in Erie lose their jobs. Newer ones that brought quite a bit to the Manufacturing & Machining side of the product. On both sides. It's a shame.....
I mean no disrespect to previous comment but who likes the union besides union workers? They seem to cause more problems with silly rules rather than help everyone work together more efficiently. A union shop there is by no means seen as a benefit but a huge thorn. Who would be surprised to see that go away?
They want to destroy the union and their agreements by parting everything out.
I am not the OP, but MS is Measurement Solutions (under Surface Technologies) they have an operation in Erie Pennsylvania and Germany. I heard that Invalco line will still continue to build in Stephenville Texas, however all sales/profits will be absorbed under MS.
I am curious about the "parting out MS" though, what does that mean?
It has been openly discussed for months that the Invalco line would be moved to MS, is this still the case or something different transpiring? Houston mgmt. has said straight out that MS offers too many configurations of the product line and feels this should be reduced. Is this what you are referring to when you say "parted out"?
What is MS referring to? Machine shop? If not, it should as it is being torn apart machine by machine and machinist by machinist!
