FMC is a really good company and unfortunately like many in the oil and gas industry have been highly affected by the low cost of oil. With that many managers were just as heart broken reading those numbers. Layoffs are never easy for anyone. Layoffs are never easy for anyone.

The managers are not heart broken - they are strategically dumping the smartest people. Chuck Heaton is a scary guy-I watched him joke around with another HR person in front of a crowd of scared people at an All Hands Meeting. Not professional at all.
There are lots of politics and in-fighting in the Conpany. The powerful and well networked get to stay... Not necessary the best and capable. Can the Company survive this current challenge with the remaining team? I will be praying for them but keeping some items with the Company logo for memorial in case the Company bite the dust.
As long ah they get there's! They'll crap on the ones that make the product that makes the company money.

Are the managers heart broken when they still get their bonuses? Are the managers heart broken when they still get to travel on the company's dime? Are they heart broken when they stay in the nicest hotels for some BS meetings to improve the process on how to sweep a floor? FMC is a joke. I worked for them for 11 years in the field actually making the money for the company. I was escorted from the base by an armed police officer. At least have the common decency to give me a ride home instead of making me sit on the curb until a friend could come and pick me up.
