Executives had no clue what to do with the product. They made top-down decisions that made no sense, and wasted a ton of money while accomplishing nothing. They laid off half the team and the other half quit. Phenomenal incompetence.

Agree! Management changes frequently, direction changes constantly, and there are layoffs in one part of Intuit or another during the summer every year.
