Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Get ready for really cheap real estate in southern states...

It's definitely coming...Look at the large swarms of layoffs hitting the energy companies, and we aren't even seeing energy company defaults and bankruptcy yet. 40-50% and a big recession looming in southern states... All these layoffs is simply first stage "window dressing". It's not going to solve the real problem: severe decline in the oil industry.....Hold on boys and girls, we're going to get firesale asset prices in the south, and it's going to be beautiful for all the vultures that end up picking up the scraps clean. Bring on the pain train!

@1ndp, trolls rarely make sense or have a point.

Real estate in the southern states always has been really cheap. I'm not seeing the point.

Under $44 now. Weird, I guess the same deflationary death spiral affecting energy sector impacts consumer electronics companies selling fancy but fundamentally unnecessary widgets. And no help from "gas savings tax cut" to buy a new smartphone

@FNkFcQt-abc, maybe, but shale is an irrelevant topic. Meanwhile, QCOM back under $45. Perhaps borrowing $10B to "bootstrap" one's stock isn't wise. Considering it's lost $40B in market cap since (oil)slick BarryJ pushed for the ASR

Real estate in the oil patch is only a great deal if you have to live there. If you like bugs, rats and snakes built into your foundation, go for it. As for the "great depression," you seem to be anticipating, the oil buisiness is cyclical. Always has been. If you knew more than the coding for testing, you'd understand this, but I'm sure they don't teach macroeconomics at Windows Univiersity.

What's this got to do with Qcom?
