Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Timing

Seems like next week won't be the optimal time for them to do it with 4th quarter earnings 2/16. You think they'd want to announce a number in the shareholder conference call.

I do not think of the town hall meeting on Thursday. Let me get in outlook and schedule the thing.

Thanks for the advice.

I say Tuesday. That last post sounded right. Wednesday could be the day supervisors address their new teams and let people settle in. Also security and Hr layoffs will happen for the people that were working the rif on Tuesday. I bet people will be sent home because the whole ordeal will have people stressed to the point of being sick. Thursday is welcome to the new Devon day. Friday 50% of Devon is off work so nothing happens on Friday.

I am guessing next week. Not on Monday. Tuesday or Wendsday would be a good day. Everyone will be in the office. Thursday will be the day for everyone to come back into the office and have a Town Hall style meeting of some sort or maybe just a meeting with new leadership to have them tell the people still employees that we are still a team and we must press on. Everyone will be basically useless and shell shocked.

Layoffs please stockholders. Would make sense to do it closer to the earnings call

I've read that they will start them on the 15...but I've read a lot of false things on here so far, so who knows. It makes sense since it will be right after month end close
