Layoffs? Yes. When? Soon, and on-going. Where? Everywhere. How hard can this be to figure out? Is your enrollment increasing or decreasing?

Just sit back and watch people. Use your brains and watch what is happening. Corporations focus on one thing while keeping employees occupied with another. It's not personal, there is big money involved and it's just a number on paper that decides fate.

"Row well and live Ben Hur!" is the Everest motto. Unless your one of the ditzy female AD's, then just shake it.

-3dxu - sounds just like my President Tony Rich from Greenspoint Campus. If it's not him.... it's just like I figure there are more Presidents out there who are assholes and useless to their campus and need to be laid off.

3dxu, Your feelings about employees are the same as the feelings being generated from Dave Hawn down to the Campus Presidents, and that is why the employees don't care anymore. When a company is not concerned about it's employees, the employees are longer concerned about the company. Telling people to shut up and do their job until they are no longer needed is not a very good morale booster. By employing people like you, this company has no chance of surviving.

@3noy, it's obvious that if you're a current ZEG employee, we have different roles in the company and as such, I would do my job to the best of my ability until as was no longer needed, or when the campus was closed. I know this sickens some of you, but maybe that's why you're no longer with the company, unemployed, making less money, don't have any promotional opportunities, and are generally a miserable and unhappy group of people.

Would you still be 100% onboard if you knew you would be losing your job?

@ 2cdv, wow! I can tell you're waaaay down on the company and evolutionary rung of the ladder. At least have the common decency to state you're making an opinion, and not come off as if you are stating fact. My friend, please stay in your basement or whatever dark room you are held up in, and keep the tin foil hat tight on your head.

The simple truth is , Who the heck is going to start their school at Everest? That would be very stupid and ill advised. We should still be in teach out and it will go a couple more years until all who can finish their degree, do. The plan was always to keep them locked into attending so their loans would not have to be forgiven. That is sound business to both sides. Any new students must be very desperate or they are living in a cave somewhere. With all the news, and so many other schools to chose from, why would you ever come here to start college. Not putting us down, its just reality, we are as good as the others. Classes will continue to reduce in numbers and adjuncts will be slowly let go. Since most supervisors that are over adjuncts are female and females normally cater to their friends and who is the most "sensitive" to students when deciding who should go, that group will be the last to go. Men normally decide on who is doing the best job, female bosses decide on who they like and who is "sensitive" and push students along even if they don't deserve it. It is what originally got Everest into trouble and they just won't change it. Its the touchy feely aspect of the difference in how men and women supervise. It will play out here. Some will hate this fact, but most know it is reality and we need to just understand it happens.

So here's the deal...

I just came from the leadership meeting in Houston, and Dave said that more than likely, there will be additional restructuring and/or mergers and closures. He also said the leadership might have done away with too many positions in some places. The company will look at increasing staffing, where it makes sense. So, if you're in a campus with a low student population and your lease is close to being up, you're in danger. It's business people, not personal. ECMC is pouring millions of dollars into ZEG, and I believe we're on track to right the ship. I know some of you either don't believe this or don't want to hear it. Just my opinion. I'm 100% on board with what we need to do to get things fixed. Some former employees want us to fail. Some current employees don't give a shit. Hopefully, we'll be able to get rid of these "sea squirts" as soon as possible.

There is a title and role adjustment due in March for IT. I suspect there might be some cuts.

It's crazy how I hear a rumor and then turn to this site and see this. Zenith obviously doesn't know how to keep their mouths shut.
