I hope we sell L48 that should give us the much needed cash infusion if we get any and it would save our jobs.

BP does sell low and buy high, all-the-time. Look at the retail business, while they are laying off 10k employees worldwide, they are going to "invest" on buying back the stations they sold a few years ago. Crazy!

BP does not usually sell assets when their value is low. And, let's be honest, L48 is probably at it's lowest value right now.

Lower 48 will move on to a suitor. That's the strategy. Cut costs now, head count reduction, and dress L-48 as best you can to sell it the package.

Not a good time to be an employee.
