I heard about a former BRCM engineer who got laid off a few years ago and moved to Bay Area to join Avago. His workload is very high compared with BRCM one.
Once the project schedule is set, he has even no weekends and no nights to meet the schedule. That is the way Avago can survive and do well. So you guys need to be prepared to make your new big boss TAN happy somehow
