It's a 50/50 split. I out-work 50% of the older professionals in my position. A hard worker is a hard worker. The same badass experienced professionals, were badass young professionals. So just accept that there will be both young and old lost and stop splitting hairs here boss! Blame the industry for inflated salaries, the people accepting them aren't going to tell someone "no, no, please only pay me 60k".

I agree. And you're welcome. My pleasure.
It impedes the progress of the human race
Thank you! No room in the world for that kind of ignorance.

Meant to say race and age
How ignorant do you have to be to bring race into a conversation? Some people are smarter than others, period. Sorry but it's the truth... And those people will always be ok
If you think layoffs are 'only about' value you add to the company, or that you 'work harder' than everyone else on your floor, you are in for a rude awakening. The 'bean counters' do not go into that kind of deal, and you can look at the past trends of the reorgs (at Devon) to get your answer. When layoffs happened at CHK it wasn't about who worked the hardest. It was higher paid, mangers, number of employees in your area that did the same work as you.
Let's exclude the women 😊
Unfortunately it's pretty difficult to tell exactly who is sucking cock. Hell, the only people who know for sure are the cock suckers themselves and upper management.
If we have cock suckers employed at Devon they need to go!!
Wait, will blowing you old saggy dongs keep me employed? I'm in!
its know who you know.. its who you blow.
I doubt you outwork 50% of the older professionals. You are most likely an ego centric millennial who is extraordinarily difficulty to manage. The work you are probably doing is most likely being completed by a qualified, experienced engineer.
All I know is if it is between a 50-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man with equal skills and productivity, the man will keep his position in the Devon white, older male hierarchy.
Shut up
