Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Comment! It's anonymous! ???

I'll bet it's not anonymous if you're posting from a Broadcom computer.

Yes unfortunately all of IT in the US as far as I know have already received their transition letter. I have until end of June. Some though have up to a year. But everyone has pretty much their end date communicated to them. Some were already terminated this past week and were exited on Thursday. The Avago model is outsourced to cheapest possible so most US IT employees don't stand a chance to be retained.

100% of IT got axed! Yes, not a single full-time employee is left in IT - most of IT employees got 6 months to 1 year transition, to enable them to train their replacement to an outsourced Indian company. Top management is getting a windfall on their way out, starts with $100M for the departing CEO. This company will be taken to a hell hole by new management - focus is 100% on increasing stock price - not employees, community or other lofty ideals. Please welcome tyrannical, corporate greed.

Don't use one of their computers unless you know what you're doing. I saw plenty of things flagged - e. g. Mangers getting automatic emails when logfiles are copied to usb drives etcetera. Who knows what sorts of mitm attacks they use to monitor traffic? Some employees had fun with the helpdesk when IT blocked certain websites though.
