Thread regarding Avid Technology Inc. layoffs

Call PreSonus and see if they're hiring

I would think that anyone in their right mind would immediate call PreSonus and see if they're hiring.

Sure....you might have to move to Berlin if you're a programmer, but I'd bet you'll be treated far better than Avid has.

I know I'm personally recommending to everyone I know that they should make the switch now so they can get the jump on everyone else who are still using the PT dinosaur. It won't live much longer.

PreSonus is NOT located in Berlin! And while I like quite some features of Studio ONE (and honestly, I would pay a lot to have ARA and the new FX routing in "my" DAW) but I don't think it is mature enough to take it with Cubase/Nuendo in pro environments yet. Depends of course on workflow/hardware environment. And I don't think the PreSonus-Software staff is ramping here...they don't have the manpower to do things like this ;-) You'd be surprised how few they are and what bunches of software they are responsible for!

There seems to be some Presonus shills here. But they also did a similar thing against Reaper so I would expect unprofessional behavior from them.

Totally agree. I switched to Studio One and I think it's THE software that's going to be replacing PT users worldwide.
