Staples has been cutting hours and laying people off in the retail division for years, while at the same time raising expectations. During all this the "corporate" people all thought stores were a joke.
I actually was a corporate person who was not co-located at corporate. I left staples on my own. But I am sad to see what is going on, though I did see it coming!
The company needs to change its ways, sure they want to buy Office Depot, but at the cost of the employees, that is not right!
What they are doing really pisses me off, and I am glad that I left. As for the associates in Ontario, I feel for you, best of luck.
Sounds like an exchange program could be very useful. I am sure the rank and file in the corp office deal with a lot of stress and are overworked. It has always been the upper tiers of management that have been redundant and wasteful. To many DMs, RVPs and SVPs. There was no reason for Demos' and Otis' positions to coexist.

I work in the ONTARIO FC692, they fired the wrong person "ROCKY" they should of FIRED all the useless, power trip MANAGERS that are still there, the MORAL sucks in that building, we will wait and see if there's major changes in that building, we need it.
