Who will end up surviving this debacle? Will it be the KingFischer's mini-me...or will they get rid of the only competent person at the top...Reynolds?

This is really very simple. Chaparral is like the island of misfit toys. Sadly, the biggest misfits are at the top. Miller could not hold a job at any other legitimate company and is the biggest misfit of all. Anyone that supports people like him in an important position should be fired as well.
Nostradamus you do not have to be a soothsayer to see what is coming. The KingFischer has a model and pattern that has been used each and every time they drive the company close to the financial abyss. In 2008 it was a bail out from Chesapeake...in 2010 it was a bail out from CCMP. There will be another fool out there willing to invest in this quagmire of incompetence...its already in the cards. Notice a common thread here ? Every time oil and gas prices go down, the company becomes financially stressed. Why ? Because they have gorged themselves on debt and now have few options to continue this fiasco. The losers will be employees and bond holders. And who has the authority to continue the decisions being made at the top ??? The cast of characters is becoming smaller every year, but the main players are still there.
Better Look for Another Job Fast, was your boss Miller? If not, it had to be Dahlberg. He was half hung over most of the time and incompetent to boot ! I do agree Miller will be next...even keeping him around is beginning to cause a loss in credibility for CCMP.
I was one of the employees laid of last year. I am so sorry for those who were recently let go that you are going through this nightmare! It was inevitable that another layoff would happen, but, unfortunately, you have all had to ride out the storm there while those of us laid off last year with WARN pay have moved on with our lives. I can tell you that working at Chaparral brought so much anxiety into my life, and I feel blessed that they let me go when they did. My boss was an absolute nut job! I wish all Chaparral employees and those laid off much luck and peace in finding your next path. And for those of you who still work there...find another job, fast! That includes you, Miller : ) At least there is a HEFTY HR department to handle this mess (or did any of them get laid off?)
Honestly, they ALL should go. Unfortunately, Chaparral let go the only few competent people who had what it will take to pull this company out of its quagmire!
Miller!
Reynolds should GO!
Reynolds should go!
