Thread regarding VMware Inc. layoffs

Carl and Raghu should be fired first. So many poor decisions made in product lines and acquisitions.

Too much of bad-mouthing AWS and public clouds when Hypervisor was king in datacenters, so full of themselves that they refused to address the threat. Too little too late. It is not just the top CxO's fault, it was product managers too. They too drank the cool aid.

Jonathan Chadwick was the worst, so glad he is gone. I am an ex employee but unfortunately still own lots of stock. I remember in the all hands he would always say not to worry about the day to day fluctuations in the stock and that if we did out jobs well the stock would take care of itself. Well we delivered many outstanding products, and look at where the stock is now, lower than the IPO price. What an assh*le, good riddance.

I worked at VMware for 2 years and will be layed off in the coming weeks. The top office folks should be fired. There is no work life balance or anything that benefits the employees at this place. We got worked like workhorses and now it's time to get rid of the horses. It's a shame that I stayed there this long. I would never recommend anyone to apply at this place I feel as if I wasted the last 2 years of mylife.

Not sure if you know, Jon Chadwick resigned from CFO 3 days back. He wants to be an independent board member for several companies

The buck stops at the CEOs office. However incompetent they are. It's the CEOs responsibility to remove them and our Christian CEO didn't even though the same Christian CEO had no problem laying off hundreds of others

Raghu is especially fishy, with 0 respect by many people inside, he made so many wrong strategy decisions but never hold responsible for it, amazing

The VP of central engineering should also GO lily Chang. Her personnel agenda no one wants to work with her. She was part of the ball drop under "Women who code" in new York. She does not even code

Ever Since Marianna T left VMWARE and went to Docker.. Shambles has ensued

Second it. As a technical leader, Raghu has totally lost his vision in the market for the past several years.
